1. Overview
EthnoArts Journal ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy describes the information we collect when you visit ethnoarts.journal, subscribe to our newsletter, or become a member, and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the publication: your email address when you subscribe, your name and billing details when you become a member, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and aggregate analytics.
3. How we use it
To send you the newsletters and dispatches you have requested, to process membership payments, to respond to messages you send us, and to understand how readers use the journal in aggregate. We do not sell your data, ever.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for login sessions and to remember your cookie preferences) and privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible) which does not set tracking cookies.
5. Third parties
We use Stripe to process payments, Mailgun to deliver email, and Cloudflare for hosting and security. Each provider receives only the data necessary to perform its function, governed by its own privacy policy.
6. Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send. You can request access to or deletion of your data by writing to privacy@ethnoarts.journal. We respond within 30 days, as required by GDPR.
7. Changes
If we materially update this policy, we will email members and post a notice on the homepage at least 14 days before changes take effect.
